Early Christmas Shopping

      It was the Christmas season and the Judge was in a cheerful mood.

      "What are you charged with?" he asked the defendant.

      "Doing my Christmas shopping early, Your Honour," replied the defendant.

      "Well, that certainly isn't a crime," the Judge said. "How early were you doing this shopping?"

      "Before the store opened!" the defendant replied.
