History of
forensics
These days, public interest in forensics is running high. A number
of popular shows follow forensics experts as they solve crimes. I think
forensics is fascinating, too. It is simply amazing that we can use technology
and scientific advances to sift through evidence in criminal cases.
Unfortunately, some of what you'll see on television isn't entirely
accurate. So take it with a grain of salt. But you can learn more about true
forensics at the National Library of Medicine's Visible Proofs site. It will
take you through the history of forensics and show you what is possible today.
You can even learn about the role science played in specific crimes.

Newspapers are run by humans on tight deadlines, so naturally mistakes occur.
Responsible newspapers run corrections, and the cliché is that they "regret
the error".
run by humans, Newspaper errors are sometimes hysterically funny
Regret the Error chronicles these corrections, which are sometimes
hysterically funny, but also serves an even more important function: it lets
newspaper editors and publishers know that these things matter, that someone
is watching, and that we EXPECT them to 'fess up when they make a mistake.

could become addictive. I suspect the younger generation will do better

not, it might be a clue not to drive too fast.
