Following “the worst storm in the 19 years we have lived here,” downpours add to the reality of Global Warming "Buckets of water" with rushing streams, growing "lakes" and waterfalls cover the top of the range at Puhoi. Runoff from the road create rushing streams that can be heard from a considerable distance. The storm a couple of weeks ago blew out the weed guards in most guttering and dumped broken branch twigs and leaves which now blocked the gutters sending water in sheets in many places. Several hours in the rain with ladders, spades and brooms have 'normalised' the situation but the rain is not yet over. The problem now to be considered is, is this the new 'normal' weather pattern for this time of year?
