Local identity, David Hay, to stand for Rodney

In a meeting at Orewa last night  David Hay was elected to stand for the Green Party in Rodney for this year's central government elections .

David is one of a long ancestry directly involved in Rodney for several generations.  He has an affinity with a wide range of residents and does not appear the image of the conceptual "Greenie" -- a clear sign that clearly defined Green policies are maturing the party.

The unpredictable environment and transport will be key issues.

Green Party MP, Sue Bradford, chaired the meeting, giving an update on party activities and answering a wide range of questions.
