Film crew in Puhoi

A film crew visited Puhoi (Wed June 2) as part of a Tourism series “Welcome to NZ” running on BTV Cable Tv in Japan.

Film director and camerawoman was Saho Yazaki, and presenter is Japanese speaking Aucklander, Vicky Cooke, an Air NZ flight hostess.

The documentary is part of a long running series of programs, which have included

“Unique NZ products”,
            “Kiwi style past times”,
            “Popular tourist destinations”.

Filming a new episode on accommodation in NZ, the team used "Our Farm-Park" as representative of alternative hosted Farm-stays.

“Each episode in the series is broadcasted twice daily for a week,” Saho told VillagePRESS. “Because of the wide range of broadcasting times, it means a wide cross section of public are able to view the program.”

Footage filmed will be broadcasted about two months later in Japan.

The working schedule for the NZ team was “Hectic,” Vicky said. “Saho never stops.”

Any single Kiwi with interest in filmmaking, and unrelenting energy might well consider how to catch up with Saho – very attractive with no (“time for”) romantic attachments.  (Contact Editor.)
