These new licence holders are learning the error of speed on unsealed back roads in Rodney.     Chasing his mate, this boy lost control on a shingled bend in the road and was saved by a tree. Without it, he would have gone down 50 metres of 30degree slope before dropping into pine trees.
This is the fourth crash VillagePRESS is aware of over the last year; two could well have been fatal.    Kids don't know how quickly mates will forget their death nor how devastating and life changing this would be for their parents.
