Orewa's Farmers Market...

... is yet another 'step forward' in positive development of the district resulting from four years efforts of recovery for Rodney by the "new" council.   Contact editor@villagepress.co.nz

Orewa Farmers Market is held every Sunday morning at the northern end of Orewa shopping complex, enthusiastic have to get out of bed early.  The stall holders set up at 6am and a growing number of repeat customers go to get very well priced, local produce at very reasonable prices.
(Where else can you get eggs from biodynamically raised hens under free-range conditions for only $5 a dozen ?)

Not all produce is "Organic" but often "spray-free" really means the grower is not yet registered organic.  Whatever, careful shopping here is a positive step to support for Rodney producers.
Among the early-birds last Sunday, Mayor John Law and his wife Leslie, were enjoying the cool sunny morning with breakfast and coffee.
