BOOK REVIEW If you have read a book you would like to share, do write a review under your name (or a constant "review Name" - see 'Ethics') Ruth L. Ozeki, "All over creation" Penguin, London 2003 Reviewed by Peter E "Without labels you don't even know what you're buying and feeding your families...It is a violation of your consumers' right to know... Your children are at risk...." (Page 93) "Thank you for your heroic efforts to preserve the rich diversity of heirloom tomatoes..." (Page 113) ".. seeds contain the information... to transform sunlight into food and oxygen so the rest of us can survive..."(Page 171) "Despite studies suggesting possible hazards to both human health and ecological safety... the Biotech Industry (is) are conducting a massive experiment on unsuspecting uninformed human subjects - You. And Me..." (Page184) "..the same old bad, exploitative, greedy... behaviours. The same old excuses about why it's okay... to raze land and destroy animal habitat..." (Page 409) This is a brilliant novel based on factual evidence and making the reality of our world at risk from chemicals and GE (Genetically Engineered) Terminator seeds much more understandable. If you have a stand on GE, for or against, or just want a good story it's hard to put down, this is worth adding to your reading list. Winner of a 2004 American Book http://ruthozeki.com/ -- PER
