Healthy body, healthy mind:

Changing the World through Conscious Parenting

Written by Hilary Jackson   8 Tuesday, 12 October 2004

  • What is it that enables us to love?

  • How do we learn to connect?

  • Why is it easier for some people to ‘feel comfortable in their own skin’?

"Could there possibly be some ‘recipe’ for creating these kinds of qualities in people – in our children?

"If we look around us at the world today, it seems that if there is a recipe, it sure isn’t being followed.  There’s so much disorder going on, so much pain being caused, so much inner and outer chaos. So much crime, addiction, abuse, endemic bullying problems within our schools; even worse things going on within and between nations.  There are just not enough people caring for what needs caring for.   The needs of the world, of our communities, of our families and of the individuals within those families are just simply going unmet.   There’s a disconnection, a turning away from what is important.  We are no longer attached to what nurtures us in the world.
