Nature shapes my way
To work each day
And
This Autumn morning was cold and damp.
Tree tops peeping
Through the folds of mist
As it hangs above the valley
Like a soft white shawl
Draped over a leafy- green dress.
The stony road snakes its wilful path
Over and over
And over the ruts.
Along the craggy cliff-top height
I drive
And view this awesome sight.
Artful Nature,
God’s Handmaiden
Gifts to us this Taonga
Gifts to us this Treasure
A treasure to treasure
Forever
Why then
I pondered
Is it so difficult to
Hug the essence of
This visual jewel
Through the daily scrum of life.
