"The missing question" - Burkhard Stein

    After just reading the " 1 in 500 " article in VillagePress I felt the urge to put my 2 cents worth in towards this issue....
    After listening and reading a lot about the " pros and cons" of this bombing campaign I feel somewhat frustrated about the issue. I have to admit, while totally against this campaign, some of the reasons given for it seem quiet attractive. No doubt, we are dealing with an evil dictator here. 
    But I believe, in order to try and understand and recognize the true face of these issues, one has to try and leave the jungle of pros and cons.
    Both camps would probably agree on the fact that September 11 has been the catalyst in all this mess.
    And now my point......Many questions have been asked since. Who's and  how's in all variations. But astonishingly the mother of all questions has been ignored in full, especially by the U.S.
    And the question goes like this........WHY.......and again........WHY .
    To be fair to the U.S, if this question would have been asked and an honest attempt been made to get the answer, the whole " West " would have had to go into self destruction mode !!!!!
    My true and utter belief in this simply is.....if that magic Why had been asked honestly with the intention to actually seek an answer, NONE of this would happen now and NO September 11 would ever happen again.
    This is not about Liberation, Peace and maybe not even about Oil - it is about the sleeping dogs and little demons hiding all over (or rather under)  the desks of our great leaders.
